EUC Neoprene Cover: A Worthy Investment for Your Electric Unicycle

Who Will Love This:
For electric unicycle (EUC) enthusiasts looking to safeguard their valuable rides from damage, the EUC neoprene cover is a stylish, durable, and protective solution.

My Take:
If you’re the kind of person who uses a cover to protect your smartphone, then you should consider doing the same for your EUC. I purchased the Nikola protective cover, and my only regret is not buying it sooner. Crafted from remarkably durable neoprene material with triple-reinforced stitching, this product showcases impressive quality and construction.

Available for Gotway MSX/MSP, Nikola, and the entire King Song product line, the Bodyguard cover offers an array of benefits:

  • Easy fitting and removal
  • Quick fastening for simplicity and security
  • Precise cut-outs for charging ports, power buttons, light sensors, and front/rear lights
  • Designed for visibility of LED side lights
  • Included speaker cut-outs for optimal sound reproduction

Putting on the cover is akin to donning a wetsuit – a snug fit that eventually molds perfectly to your EUC. Once in place, it stays securely attached, and the cut-outs align seamlessly.

I’ve logged around 500 miles with this cover, including both on-road and off-road riding. I’ve taken some significant spills on rocky trails and had unplanned dismounts on the road at high speeds. Throughout all this, the cover has performed admirably. It shows no signs of wear or tear despite the falls, with the seams holding strong. This cover has undoubtedly extended the life of my EUC.

EUCs’ plastic shells can easily scratch or break during hard falls, marring their appearance. The neoprene cover has shielded my precious EUC from such mishaps.

On the Gotway Nikola version, a top zipper limits quick access to the trolley handle. Although it may seem less convenient, it’s a practical feature. In the past, my trolley handle suffered damage during rough tumbles, but the closed protective cover prevents such issues.

The neoprene EUC cover not only offers protection but also enhances the wheel’s aesthetics. Despite my initial concerns about the black cover getting dirty, it’s been easy to clean, maintaining a fresh look.

The Drawbacks:
During long or intense rides, the cover may shift slightly, likely due to the way I grip and turn my EUC with my legs. However, it’s a minor issue and easily adjustable.

The fabric cover makes it challenging to attach side or power pads for added control. Some in the community use creative methods with Velcro tape, which I intend to explore in the future.

While the price may seem steep for a cover, I now believe it’s a worthwhile investment. The neoprene fabric and stitching are of high quality, far superior to the alternative of attaching unsightly foam pieces to your EUC.

Conclusion:
If you’re keen on safeguarding your EUC investment with this “EUC bodyguard,” consider the selection and pricing at eWheels. For those outside the US, check out Roll.nz for availability.
